FAS Called-Up

28 Nov, I was invited to represent FAS (Stunner) team to play a friendly against the Mediacorp All-Star at Jalan Besar Stadium. I was donning the national red jersey with my favourite footballing number, 25, playing against well-known artists like Chen Wencong, Alan Term, Mark Richmond and etc.

We lost 2-4 to the artists team. Although we lost the game, I enjoyed the game a lot. The artists team did impress me with their stamina throughout the game. I always thought that they will be too busy with filming and no time for exercise. Well, they proved me wrong. My team did include 3 ladies too. Particularly there's one young lady, Shiya, who's playing for the National Women Team, impressed me with her "One-Woman-Show" outran 3 opponents and shot straight to the keeper! Immediately she followed up with the rebound and cross in for a header!! Awesome! I just couldn't imagine how a lady can actually play that well in a "mens' game"??
Halfway through the first half, Coach P.N Sivaji (FAS Technical Director) shouted to me at the byline,"Jun! S-League player can't play lah!" For those who don't understand what he meant, he's trying to say that Jun (me) as a former S-League player, shouldn't be playing that game. This is the first time that he actually acknowledged me as a former S-League player, haha! I always thought that I am just one of his reserve boys. Opps!

After the actual game, FAS players played among ourselves so as to fully utilize the world-class playing facility at Jalan Besar Stadium. Right after that, it's dinner time! Overall it's a wonderful experience to be involved in this kind of game. If I'm going to rate my own performance, I'd say 7 out of 10. Three miss points were the lack of fittness to last the entire competitive friendly game; I suffered a cramp in the last 15mins of game but I did endure through the whole game. Not too sure if I'm going to be included in the next game but keep my fingers crossed, I am delighted with the invitation and satisfied with my own performance.

S.League Award 2007

S.League Award Trophies

I've experienced one of those glamour outing mingling with former and present football stars at the S.League Award Presenatation Night 2007 last evening. Supposingly the event was allocated to me but due to my tight schedule, it was re-allocated to another colleague. A blessing in disguise indeed, if not I wouldn't have the opportunity to rub my shoulders with the footballers, as well as mediacorp artists.

Adrian, Fay and Ben (FAS)

FAS Staffs & World Cup Refree, Shamsul M

Clara and TianXin (FAS)

The night was filled with not just stars of the 21st Century, to me it was a back to the past where I'm watching Malaysia Cup with my dad. Look.. Lim Tonghai is so tall! Sundram's move so swift! Sasawdimata so cool! Samawira so nippy! David Lee so well-bulit! Steven Tan is so pacy! They were the stars then, but last night Alexandar Duric was the one who stole the limelight, bagging 4 awards altogether! I always thought Khairul Amir could give Duric some challenge but apparently Duric was just too awesome.

Albirex Niigata FC Goalkeeper, Takahashi Norio

Albirex Niigata FC Staffs, Kura, Ando and Atsuko

Albirex Niigata FC Midfielder, Shin Hosagai and Fay

Last evening, I managed to catch up with Albirex Niigata FC (ANFC) where I used to have my coaching stint. Due to the formality aspect of this prestigous award presentation, all of ANFC players and staffs dressed up in suit. I personnally prefer to see Atsuko in casual. I think she looks better in casual. Haha..

Hey, I saw Ross last evening too! Gosh.. I bet many didn't know that I like Ross! Haha! I didn't dare to stand by her side last evening cos I find her too tall with the heels, haha!

Balaclava

2 glasses of beer were enough to put me up on a roller-coaster ride..

Yap! you got it! I got hell tipsy after the second glass at Balaclava. Mind you, my watch read 6:20pm!

I'm supposed to meet up SpecForce and Amway for an Ops Meeting pertaining to the Amway Rally event which is going to take place next Wed. After just 30mins of discussion, we've got everything straightened out and immediately the session was turned into a drinking session! Of course that's something which I've never expected, especially when I'm still in uniform!

Back in the office, I was feeling to giddy. I rested my head on the desk, trying to make some sense of how I ended up like that. No answer though. However when I think about it, I feel that it does make sense for a job like mine, to do some entertaining. Does that mean drinking??

Mcee

Couldn't believe what I'm going to write here; I was the Mcee for our Aunty Cabell's Solemnization Reception last Sunday!

These days have been real busy and only until Sunday morning itself, I started to memorize my script. In fact, I'm feeling real nervous when I reached the hotel on the day, an hour prior to the kick-off of the reception. Even Joanne noticed my hands started trembling minutes before the thingy commenced.

As a first-timer doing Mcee-ing, I think I did not screw up the function. Jonathan did mention that I should speak more though. Anyway, after the first few speeches, the confidence was gained, I spoke more fluently. * Trying to insert more bass to my vocal though!*

Maybe I should try again next time round. It will be better!

Summary (for the next one to come):
  1. Increase the Bass-level on the Mixer (Maybe I can try talking while having an apple in my mouth!)
  2. Add a little echo (like normally how I do in Studio and K-Box!)
  3. Prepare the speech on paper (Don't force myself to memorize!)
  4. Stand near the Sound Console where the staff will give me the "Q" (Do not mis-fire!)
  5. Lastly, I should consider spend some bucks on my dressing!! That's normally how Mcee is, right!

Invitation With Appreciation

Appreciation Cert from Child @ Street 11

Innocent children from Child @ Street 11 had their K2 Graduation Ceremony cum Concert at the Theatre yesterday. They are a bunch of hyper-active kids who loves dancing and singing. From what I know, they're a group of children who comes from broken families, but what I've seen yesterday was only a sense of happiness being protrayed by them. Glad that I've contribute something to their graduation ceremony cum concert.

Manhon (Lee) came down to Suntec, passed me his wedding invitation card yesterday late noon. While we're chatting at the lobby, Amos (Boon) from Sengkang happened to by-pass us. Amos and Manhon are great pals though. Wedding invitation cards were passed around and a little catch-up was done in minutes. Well, hopefully my early release request from Reservist can be approved so that I can join in the gathering on 12 Dec.

GES

Global Entrepolis Singapore 2007 (GES) is giving me all the exposures which I needed to know about a big event being executed by an established recognized organization. Dealing with lots of VIPs which included Prime Minister Lee (Minister of Finance), Minister of Education, Minister for Trade & Industry and various Ambassadors from oversea, has indeed enlarged my vision.
This has been one of the biggest event which I've ever get involved in. Of course I am not the lead actor in the event running, Jonathan's the man in this event. I am merely helping out with the Exhibition component, that's about it. With the Exhibition running up on my sleeves, helping out with the tiny detail in the Conference running "knowledgized" me very much.
Almost forgot to mention what's with the two ryori up there.. that's two of my dishes which I've makan-ed last night! Big Thank-You to GES 2007 Galal Dinner and Chef Edmund!

Kelicia & Feca

New Member for the Family

Latest production for our Family, proudly present Kelicia Law! Few months old, but is already the star of the family. Yesterday, Joanne, Mummy and me went over to Yishun to take a look at our new borned niece. Well, look at the pic, Joanne was delighted. Enrica was busy with her High School Musical and Mummy was overjoyed!

Singapore Chinese Recreation Club

Despite feeling slight feverish, I joined Feca for a game at SCRC ground at 11am-1pm. Game was halfway through, opponent had one of their players' arm fractured, a couple of others suffered hard knocks and they even ran out of sub. With the full 3 points on hand, we threw the game and has to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Weather was hot. It's definitely part of the reason why Feca players were not performing. Alvin nearly gave us the winning goal in the dying second but he blasted the ball in front of the goal with just a helpless keeper to beat. Well, I don't blame him cause we should have kill the game earlier.

Torn Puma thights
In this Feca game, I was throwing myself on every ball which came my direction. Slided here and there, in the end I torn my favourite white-colour Puma thights! Might have to get Tatsuya to help me buy another one from Japan ya!

Leisure Life

Everytime whenever I start to blog, I will think of a title before typing. Weird thing is that everytime I will think about Suntec; Work. This entry shall not talk about work. Let me write about my Leisure Life these days.

I've not been TOUCHING football for quite some time. Feca FC has been inviting me to their games, Coach Dilwant has been calling me up to check f I'm available for his schools coaching, and best till, FAS has been sending me emails to enquire if I'm interested in their Nation-wide football coaching program... Well, I politely turned down all the above mentioned offers due to my heavy demanding work. Not knowing how long do I have to do this to my favourite passion but I believe I should know best.

Have been down with a sore-throat and cough since Thursday. The itch to cough so often makes me feel whether am I going to puke my lung out. Haiz... Supposed to go for a Dental appt on Sunday but Joanne was saying that I might cough non-stop in which the dentist might not be able to do any cleaning!

Joanne and me are trying hard to arrange for a family outing to Genting Highland next month. Dates have been confirmed and should there be any last minute change, Joanne and me will head further north to Bangkok! Well, if I'm not wrong, my last holiday trip with my family was back in Secondary Two! That was how many years ago?? Erm.. 11 years?

Time for medication...
