Opportunity

Opportunity comes and goes. I thought I've been a blessed man in my near 27 years of life. Nah.. a typical human species like me, a Guy, will never be satisfied. I believe all those who're reading this write-up agree with me (with both hands high up).

I have ambition, I have goal and I set a target for myself. It's inches close but after days of anticipating for that particular desired moment, I find myself lost in wild yet again. Down to earth, I am still a lonely man looking for someone who can appreciate my effort. The kind of "Will-It-Happen-To-Me" anticipation shrunken my ambitious steel heart. My vision gets blur, my limps are numb, fire is off and hopes are blown away by a gentle breath.

It's a new day to get fresh air. what kind of fresh air, erm.. that kind. The kind of air which I've lost for the past one week. The kind of fresh air which I've been struggling to sustain throughout my daily life. The kind of fresh air which is.... fresh, I supposed.

Pulau Ubin Trip

One would ask why bothered to wake up so much earlier than the dreadful normal working days, particularly on a peaceful Sunday? The love for a healthy sporty excitement convinced me to sweat it out this morning!

11 of us, that included Joanne, we travelled across the straits to Pulau Ubin for a Biking Trip! This was my first time having a Cross-Country-like biking trip, especially with the accompany of the peers, it was a fun hell of a day! Joanne and me were in the two-seaters bike and with that, we cycled almost the entire island. The cycling up and down the muddy terrain had given me some sore fingers. No doubt that my thighs had its own fair share of endurance training today!

How to end an unique out-of-mainland island outing other than a treat to a Seafood Feast! Saliva-dripping feast overcame all fatigue. All sweats and blood leaded to Victory. Hope that more of these activities can be arranged. Better friendships can be forged further!

Singapore Biathlon 2008

I made a decision today. I've registered to participate in this year Singapore Biathlon competition. To many others, this is a simple decision which doesn't required much consideration and much thinking but why am I taking so long to decide?

Well, it's not easy to convince myself to accept this challenge at the start of this brand new year 2008. I've got a very bad experience back in year 2006 where I fell sick (real sick) at the very last couple of days before the competition. To see all my hardwork wasted was never a satisifying feeling. It was aweful.

The competition will be held much earlier (this year) than previous years. That means my preparation time will be much much shorter this time round. I will be expecting myself to challenge the pool (swim trial) within these 2 weeks. Only if I pass the swimming trial, then I will be allowed to join in the actual competition on 1 March, at East Coast.

My personal training started few hours ago. I was away from the pool since year 2006, still managed to clock approximately 20mins for a half the required passing swim laps. Not really a very good sign but keep my fingers crossed, just keep training. Tomorrow will be a longer swim.

Cooking

For the first time this new year, I intend to do some cooking this afternoon. The main cuisine is.. tan tan tan... Fried Rice!

Of course, Joanne was there ALL THE WHILE to supervise me throughout the entire cooking process. Ingredients used were Mushrooms, Hotdogs, Eggs and Rice. According to her, I was the one doing ONLY just stirring and frying while she was the MAIN CHEF giving out the instructions. Yap! I DISAGREED!!

This is my first time trying to prepare a DECENT fried rice (although tasted more like Mushroom Fried Rice) and I gave credit to myself! Grade-A for Effort and Joanne you listen up! More to come!!

No one's gonna do me the cooking! I'm gonna be the Chef-de-cuisine of the House!
