overdue discovery

has been nearly 2months since i last eaten my all-time favourite food - char kway tiao! since hock seng store closed down at our house area last november, i've been searching for their re-opening nest with minimum information.

finally i managed to locate e new store again! this long overdue discovery will never happen without e help of the aunty's (store) daughter! joanne and i were in e midst of buying our dinner at this coffee-shop. and just when i turned my head to e side, i noticed this pair of "smiling" eyes looking at me, apparently recognizing me as one of their regulars!

i was overjoyed! finally located e store again! although e current store is significant distance away from e previous location, e tasty feast is definitely worth e walking effort!

foreign talent

this morning, manhon and i were talking about e futbol game where singapore lost to iran which took place last evening. as usual, i notice this thing about manhon, he's always feeling very frustrated whenever we talk about how the "made-in-singapore" team plays. sense of belonging is constantly on his lips.

are locally-trained singaporeans always come in second behind foreigners?

debate may go on forever and ever but it will never be a right or wrong discussion to start. if i remember correctly, i came across one article on how senior minister mentor lee or prime minister lee talked about that issue. he convinced e nation that foreign talents are crucial for singapore's growth but that does not necessary means that pure-singaporean should feel inferior.

from my perspective point of view, foreign talents, may in a way, motivate a group of either one of us to strive forward in a much more faster pace; outdo each other healthly.

i always thought only china students are among the top o level ranking but hey, did you get e latest news? i think one of the top students in the o level is a local boy! kind of encouraging to see that breakthrough. most probably that has already happened some years back!

do you welcome that friendly challenge from your neighbouring countries' mates or angmos? each of us has got a say. well, at least to manhon, he has got his own thinking and evaluation on the scene. oh well, he has got every right to comment on that - for those who don't know who manhon is, until now, he remains as one of the well-known footballer who turned out for the then "pure-100%" singapore national team in his younger dayz.

drove out

suntec staff is not allowed to be in e room when e service is on-going. oh well, if my presence in a way is disturbing e service, i shall excuse myself. i walk out gentlemenly.

perhaps more succinct description, i was chased out by e church server just because i'm a suntec staff.

wonder will there be anything which might hit her maybe i am interested in joining e church service? ain't being sarcastic or noble, aren't church server supposed to accept people from all backgrounds and races?? furthermore, i am e main liaison for e church and my rice-bowl provider. or at least i should be "ask-to-leave" in a more respectable manner, don't you agree?

i hav got no issue with e church but just a gentle piece of advice for that lady who drove me out - your way of approach was bad, yes you read me, real bad. you can call me petty i don't care. just feel so sorry for e church although i don't stereotype such behaviour.

well, not really a way of how i wanna kick off a day of work, anyway just something to ponder about on e human-logy approach this early morning.

with all due respect, journalist has done great certainly. however e profile, in this case referring to me, myself, sucks big time dude!

ain't certain if i'm sensitive but i always feel that i do not have a piece of photogenic look, which in this case, i'd say either on tv or mag, i look strange and unatural. terribly sorry for myself though, haha~

well, as a former footballer chasing his dream in e domestic highest level league, i am saddened by e fact that i will no more longer be able to achieve my dream. in e report, many has been reported on my past dream in which i always question myself," why they have to dig out my past?" till now, i still dwell over how i ended my once-upon-a-time personal glorious adventure.

erm.. erm...

rather than focusing on my individual "constructive" feedbacks, e overall media experience exposed myself to brim. officially e entire STB promotion ads come to an end and what i've gained are brand new experience and exposure. in a way, it's always good for a tourism newbie's portfolio. i'm grateful to have such opportunity.

happy new year

e new year has arrived. gonna be another special year for me. an exciting year for my career plus a highly anticipated year for my fernvale humble adobe!

e whole new year episode kicked off with a count-down at k-box with e accompany of cat, ivan, shan and joanne. Altogether, 5 of our nightingale-like vocals filled e room for as much as 4.5 hrs! e overall singing experience just got my adrenaline pumping high~

new year new resolution. ya, i’ve got quite a fair bit which i sincerely pray that it will come true this year.

as far as work is concerned, I’ve always wanted a “more-money-less-event” season. apparently this is what we will be expecting in year 2009. instead of saying a lesser event season, probably e most accurate expression will be a much better space-out event season in which sufficient rest-time could be granted and materalized for this new year.

individually, I’d want to do my utmost best for every event which I’m running and hopefully one of these dayz, someone can recognize my effort.

However having written so much on my work, fernvale humble adobe remains my top priority this new year. i ain’t gonna think of how much (effort or money) i will have to put in for the creation of this love nest of joanne’s and jun’s, all i care about is how well i’m gonna beautify it!

touch my heart, i’ve to admit there’s always a tight budget to be followed. as per what my personal principle sets – do my best in whatever i do as I answer to my own performance.

light-hearted new year resolution now~ after spending 2 years hitting e driving range, finally i’ve decided to take up e long-overdue golfy lesson! lesson starting in feb and I just can’t wait to hit e green!

futbol resolution? not much of expectation at this age, haha~ just hope that i will always be injury-free, enjoying e running and kicking like when i was 18~
