These Dayz

These days have been occupied by endless tasks of work. Event one by one kick off my headache. World Cyber Game starts moving-in, kinna enjoy working with Herman and gang, but having some prob with those Phillps contractors though.

Tight schedule coming up but I do have a way to breathe as well.Just finished represented Suntec for the CCG football competiton last weekend, today I managed to convince Sam to join me for the Fuji Xero Open Sea Swimming Competition in Oct! Realised that this year, the swimming distance has been increased from 500m last year to 1km, I'm even more excited, hehe! While browsing through last year event, I happened to find my own pics! It's just so unbelieveable to find my own pics on the net, haha!

I met up with Ben and Fay yesterday noon for a porridge buffet at Joaquim. Ben passed me the vietnamese newspaper where our faces appeared on the front page! We've got a great time talking about our Vietnamese dayz! I do miss Hanoi ya, but I do look forward to Europe as well!

CCG 2007

2 Wins & 1 Lost, Team Suntec Singapore crashed out of CCG 2007 football competition.

I enjoyed myself today. Not only did I put my name on the score-sheet with a Lady-luck-double-reflected shot, I think I've done my best for the team in my debut competition for my company. In the end, I can only say we lost to a better team. That at least I can answer to my own performance!

The condition of the pitch was muddy and wet. So my only instruction for the team was to shoot at goal sight. Shoot whenever you can. I have got a Question of the day being raised by Joey,"You're always clearing the ball out of the game, was that your tactic?"

Joey you listen up, I shall explain to you here.

As a defender, my job is to make sure the safety of our backline. In another word, I won't allow opponent to have any opportunity to pose any danger to my backline. So even if I have to kick the ball out of the game to ease the pressure of our players, I will do so. By kicking the ball out of the game, I am actually giving our own players time to recover and fall back. Now you understand, Joey! :P

Tomorrow no game for us. Time to relax and have a good meal :P

Interesting Work Resume

Nice shot? That's taken by Fay, one of my football buddies! Fay always have an eye for interesting shots, this is one of those! For your info, I was looking at the Vietnamese voting poster along Hanoi streets.

A week after the 8-days getaway from the city, I am back (for nearly a week already) in the centre trying to convince my clients to make my life easier. Days ago, I met up with Ocean Butterflies reps (海蝶Records Company) to discuss on Singer, JJ Lin's visit to one of my event which he will be gracing next week. Among those staffs, there's particularly one staff which looks very much like Jay Chou! Furthermore, that Jay Chou-look alike is a girl! OMG, the other Ocean Butterflies reps also commented that she can speak like Jay Chou too! Anyway, gonna beef up my security here in the Centre as I foresee that lots of JJ's fans will be chasing him all the way here.

Tomorrow will be the CCG football competition day. I couldn't recall when was the last time I ever joined a football competition. Well, the most memorable competition which I ever participated was back in 1995. I was donning the jersey of SRC U-16 team playing in front of few hundreds of fans. We were beaten 0-2 in the Quarters in which I scored an own goal. I cried. Hopefully the story won't repeat itself after nearly 12years. To be honest, I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow games. In fact, I'm curious to know how Lena, Korice, Jorrynn, Grace, Joey, Weiting and gang will do to support us! Haha..

Work at 2am

First letter typed here was at 2:06am. I am still working in the office. Haiz.. so tired. Work late is never a problem for me but it seems like my foot doesn't agreed with me anymore. They are tired after a day of long distance walking! What make it worst is the silly bruised in-step which I'm suffering from since Tuesday night. I'm having difficultives in walking. This coming Saturday is CCG competition where I still have to lead the Suntec team. With my current condition, how to be a role model?? Haiz.. Anyway still can't call it a day as the contractors have yet to hand over the stage back to me! Fighting the Zzzz-Monster now! Last letter typed, 2:13am.

。マイか!

Thank You Hanoi

Finally back in Singapore. I've got a great time in Vietnam where it's football day in and day out! To make it easier for everybody to understand what I did and how I've been in Hanoi for the past 7days, I put them all down in point-form!

A) I watched 2 ASIAN CUP 2007 games in Hanoi, Japan beat UAE 3-1 and Vietnam lost 1-4 to Japan. Both games were played at a wonderful MY-DINH STADIUM.

B) While watching Japan vs UAE, Fay, Ben and I joined the "NIPPON ULTRAS", sang and cheered for Japan throughout the game under the leading of the drum-beat! There were approximately 400 odds Japanese supporters, majority travelling all the way from Japan.

C) For the game between Vietnam vs Japan, 3 of us were in RED, cheering for the ASEAN team! Stadium was packed full of "communist" VIETNAMESE!! Giant flag of Vietnam was passed round the stadium on top of our heads! Although Vietnam lost the game, the team managed to make it through to the Quarter-final with UAE doing them a favour by beating the Qatarians. After the game, thousands and thousands of Vietnamese fans filled the streets with bikes and Vietnam flags! They celebrated past midnight!! Fireworks were fired too!! You just couldn't imagine how wonderful the atmosphere was unless you were there.

D) It's always good if you do have some contacts in this football circle. Ben's contact put us to fame! Photo of Fay's, Ben's, myself and some Vietnamese fans was published in the Vietnamese Newspaper on the 17th July!! One of the Asian Cup's official photographer knows Ben and we're treated with EXTRA SERVICE! In fact, that photographer was the one who helped us purchased the games tickets and the accomodation arrangement!

E) There were Press from different countries gathered at Hanoi for the coverage of the Asian Cup games. A couple of photographers and writers from Japan's Football Nippon Magazine, stayed in the same hotel as us and naturally we got to know them as well. With my ability to speak Japanese, I did English-Japanese translation for Ryo Ito (Football Nippon) while he interviewed an Australian football fan at the hotel. After the interview, Ryo took a photo of me and Mr. Phil (Australia) and who knows, my face might appear at the next Football Nippon issue, haha! *Anyway, Ryo and me become friends and we have been emailing each others, exchanging news on football and etc*

F) Other then football, the favourite past-time of Fay, Ben and me, was sitting by the side of the streets, admiring at the Vietnamese pretty gals riding past us on their scooters!! Fay was always the one who couldn't concentrate on the meal. He's always starring at the ladies on the streets while munching his food in the mouth! Occasionally his mouth was always kind of "half-opened" if he's really focus on the bikers' fair ladies! Ben and me couldn't stand him though!

G) Got to know a handful of very friendly Vietnamese friends in Hanoi during our stay. We were invited to a Vietnamese family house for a feast. Special thanks to Hiep and his family! The family get-together dinner was excellent! Although my feets were pain (after hours sitting on the floor), I enjoyed every single moment especially wittnessing Ben and Fay sabotaging each other to sing in front of everybody!

H) Thanks to Namhoi Hotel which always kept me waiting for their staffs to finish playing their online game BEFORE I can get to use the com!

I) Thanks to the our favourite Taxi driver of all time, "Giggle-Non-Stop" fellow! He's the BEST FRIEND of Fay and he's the one who did all the driving for us, Hotel to Stadium, Stadium to Hotel, Hotel to Airport!! He's the best!!
