Watch struck 6:33pm, I quickly went downstairs to the lobby, glued my eyes to the E-Board; awaiting for the annoucement for the Host of YOG 2010.
7:20pm.. Singapore won the bid.
While watching PM Lee doing his speech (after Singapore won), I got emotional. I'm so touched. I sms-ed Joanne that I am so touched and happy that tears nearly roll down my cheeks. I held back those "un-manly" tears before they say hi to the world. Nobody noticed but I am real delighted. It's the moment where all Singaporean should proud of themselves. The scene where the card (Singapore 2010) was flipped over to show the winner, kept repeating in my mind. Finally, Singaporeans will be rubbing shoulders with some of the world best young sportsmen in year 2010.
Way to go...
Well, I'm supposed to take some time off to write about my Bangkok trip but yet I'm writing about this YOG. Ookk.. will write about my Bangkok trip on the next post...
