Ngee Ann City, 12pm - 6pm... 16 teams were battling for a flight tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Moscow. Prior to this today, Sunday, more teams were fighting on the pitch to reach the tickets!
I was invited to join the team, Winning11, for this 4-a-side futsal competition. It was a team made up by my football buddies. As all of them were so excited about making it to the final, got the tickets to Moscow, according to reliable source, couple of them had actually changed the currency!!
As I was busy running event yesterday, the initial battle was left to my teammates. They did not disappoint themselves (and me), they've reached the Last 16 and there I was kicking around with them the entire whole noon at Orchard today.
As far as competition is concerned, there will never be easy team. We were made to sweat and bleed before we proceeded from Last 16 to Quarter-Final and lastly, we bowed out of the competition gracefully at the Semi-Final.
Personally, I have enjoyed the session today considered the fact that I've not been in a competitive game for quite awhile. I felt that I did well for the first and last game but the second was a "lost-in-the-game"! I was greatly hit by the hot weather, mind lost all concentration and lucky we still managed to hold on to the lead till the end. Kudos to my mates! For that 2nd Runner-Up placing, we pocketed S$1,000!!
End of the hard day, I'm gonna thank my Number One fan, my wife, who's was there throughout the entire noon with me under the sun! Above was what we've got for the dinner at Takashimaya basement!
