kansai stay
get away from e hectic lifestyle in singapore, i packed my bag for another hectic city, osaka, with joanne. e trip was non-work related but city exploring. touched down at changi hours ago, even before that, while strolling down e streets at shinsaibashi yesterday, e home-calling reached my heart, it says break's over time to go home. i agreed.
although i've been to japan a couple of times before, my feel for this trip was never anywhere near how i felt previously. i am not as stubborn as before - maybe i've grown up.
i walked e streets with a peaceful mind. my only objective was to ensure joanne herself has got a great trip this time round. that was a reasonable target thus it did not bother me that much. just hope that joanne enjoyed herself.
as far as fashion is concerned, e japanese are really way ahead. my eyes were constantly zero-ing on e japanese hair-styling and mix-&-match dressing methods. as such, my fashion sense has been improved within this one week. sometimes it's not hard to understand why singaporeans are not dressing to a certain extent where we'd go woohhh. fashion's not leading the way, society perspective to be blamed? singaporeans need to put in extra and thicked-skin effort.
talk about shopping, it's indeed one of e most anticipated activities during this trip. short of saying those small items like badges and snacks, it took me a long time before i decided on a japan-made leather bag. it costed me near 120 sin-dollars but i love it very much. planning to get a yoshida porter-brand bag but every single bag of that brand costs a bomb. its only a bag for myself but i'm contented with my achievement. joanne has got e final laugh - she bought herself a pair of leather boots which costed more than 130 sin-dollars. practically e products, be it clothing or food, all have been over-priced. any simple dress will cost more than 100 bucks which i felt that similar amount of money could be more wisely spent.
not too sure why i'm writing this but i have to admit i've benefited a lot from this trip. not only physically but emotionally as well. i felt for e 1995 earthquake at kobe actual site and i also dressed up winterly for shinsaibashi and namba. there are still many more which are hard for me to express adequately here in e blog. well honestly, this one week stay in kansai has given me (or maybe joanne too) another reason to return to e land of rising sun. we did discuss, e next destination to japan probably be up to e freezing north. mata.
