Last night, 11pm - 2:30am, I joined Fay, Ben and gang for a Futsal football session at East Coast Arena. This is our first time playing there. Although East Coast is a much more convenient venue, the pitch is not as good as Fico; grass is longer at Arena which slow down the ball. I'd prefer football to be played at a faster pace! Well, I do not have the stamina to substain my favourite pressing-game but I've enjoyed playing as a lay-back calm defender.
Nearly 23 players were around last night for the kick about. Among them, there were a couple of ladies too! They kicked ASS! With a team of KC, Zhenxi, JinShen, Kuan Yew (surname not LEE) and me, we did achieve a straight unbeaten 4-5 games against the mighty lots of teams compromised of Geylang Utd COE coach Kannan, FAS female football player, Sharon, National team manager, Eugene Loo and the most surprising thing was that even National team coach Raddy, was there with his wife to join us! Nah, they were there to watch our play though! Not only the players from other pitches were trying to impress coach Raddy, many of our players were trying to impress too! Haha..!!
Prior to the football session at East Coast, I met up with Fay and Ben at FAS office. I managed to catch the game between Young Lions & Albirex Niigata (Lions won 1-0). The night was interesting to me as I've almost lost football for the past few weeks. As we're leaving FAS, we happened to meet and we even greeted Baihakki Khaizan, Khairul Amri, Hariss Harun and gang a great Hari Raya Puasa! Wel, they're a bunch of humble guys!
