never too old

i took up piano at e age of ripe old 24. obtained my long-awaited piano grading certification at e same year. duration - one year plus.

read selene's blog recently, she blogged about how she wishes that she could have pick up piano when she's younger. e entry unintentionally brought back some of my piano-learning memory. i wouldn't say that phase of life was a musically outburst. i always long to pick up piano when i was young. my mum didn't provide me with a satisfactory reply when i asked about why i was not enrolled in a piano school. regardless of what, i paid for my own lesson when i was 24.

every tuesday noon, i would make my way down to plaza singapura - yamaha, for my weekly 30mins lesson. my teacher was mr. danny who's also a music arranger. every week will have an assignment - a brand-new song, to master. at home, i will be practising with my own keyboard in my bedroom.

my bedroom setup then was what i'd described as an ideal home studio. my working desk in e front, keyboard by e side on a standee, e rest of my electric guitars and acoustic with amps will be on e other side, surrounding my main desk. i'll only need to twist my body from side to side for daily music "handling". of cos avoid messing up e cables running around on e ground.

however with such wonderful home studio which i've set up over e months, i've got to give in to my hectic work. although hideaki did invite me to his school for complimentary lesson, i didn't want him to feel obligated. i didn't go. e entire piano journey came to a halt.

well, when i looked back, e piano-learning journey has indeed highlighted an enlightenment in my life; it's never too old to do something which you long to do. it's never too old to accomplish something which you long to accomplish. especially something which you are dream, love and passionate about. every now and then, i will be attempting to relive all my childhood dreams if possible. some might not be achieveable but very much wish to be involved in a way or another.

should i accomplished more in such exciting life of mine, i'd share with you.
