asian champions league @ jalan besar stadium. famous japanese red army, kashima antlers, strolled past saf fc 4-1 this evening. thunder-like swift quick-pass was how it worked.
year 1999, japan u-20 historically reached world youth championship final at south america. fyi, i'm watching e game "live" in japan then. although e japanese lost 0-4 to e spainish in e final, that team produced some of e finest players which japan could ever imagined. some of those finest products are motoyama masashi, ogasawara mitsuo and sogahata hitoshi. these 3 players are here, playing right in front of me at jbs.
i couldn't express how happy am i to see them playing in front of me. especially upon seeing motoyama masashi having his warm-up, just so unbelieveable. this is my 3rd time watching kashima antlers' game, e first time in year 1996 where geylang utd fc played host to antlers at e national stadium, second was in year 1999 where nakamura shunsuke leaded yokohama marinos to a 4-3 victory over antlers at e yokohama stadium. a typical j-league game and atmosphere are explosive. i am hooked.
with me, i've got jonathan, zul, manhon and albert. it's e first jbs game for jon and apparently he was impressed by e pro-standard which e japanese have displayed. great passing was e sentence constantly coming out from his mouth. as usual, manhon was criticizing about players' attitude in e game, albert busy looking at japanese babes and worst, zul kept shouting e wrong club name! GAMBA OSAKA! GAMA OSAKA!
such high-calibre game will only spark off your football interest to an even higher level. hopefully more such game will continue to flow into e red dot. well, come and think about it, i do not have to fly all e way to japan to watch j-league game anymore! erm.. aside to joanne, maybe next time when we're going to japan again, erm... let's watch urawa reds vs gamba osaka!
