The earthquake in China has been giving me lots of things to ponder. Especially the way of how I am leading my current life; so much fortunate. We, in general, are so much blessed to be away from all natural disasters but yet we're not satisfied with life, not satisfied with the way in how things are coming at us! I guess that's the nature of humanity, never satisfying.
The news reported that a mother was found dead with her few months old baby. A mobile was found (with the mother). A text read how much the mother loved the baby was typed out on the mobile. After hearing that, I am sooooo.... touched. Gosh.. Why are these disasters happening!
SiChuan earthquake and Mynmar cyclone happened very close to each other. Apparently, from what I've noticed, I personally feel that China is reacting very well with the rescue and reconstructing work but as a still-developing country, Mynmar, has been rejecting sincere assistance from neighbouring countries. If I'm going to judge the current news affair purely with the information reported by the News, I'd say that the effort being put in to convince their own people, as much as I'd like to say The Whole World, China is the best. Look at the way how China's soldiers were sweating, how they were moving those falling walls, how they were singing Birthday song to a young survivor who happened to be rescued on her Birthday and etc.
Time for me to reflect on my life. Maybe I should stop working! Maybe I should really find a place in Pulau Ubin, build a simple (at least mosquito-free) house and everyday just do cycling, farming and enjoy my life!
